LeBron James on Music

Wassup. LeBron drops some knowledge in this video about what music he's listening too and what he likes...

On another note, we're noticing that some people have been on the grind more than others. If you want your mix to be heard by Paul Wall, Al Fatz & LeBron, then you gotta find a way to get some votes.

I'll let you guys know which tracks I'm listening to later today.

Enjoy the new LeBron vid...

Hi, I am curious how the whole system works. Including what the votes are for, how they orchestrate intot he choice lebron chooses. Does he just pick the top three vote getters as his song choices? Or does he pick out of the hundreds that enter? Do i need to have the most votes to get in or sites( how do u get sites?)? Please reply so that i know if i need to get more help from my friends.,

Here's the short version....

The votes are so our panel of judges (music experts, record label A & R folks, Paul Wall's manager, etc...) can take the thousands of entries and narrow it down 100 top vote getters. The judges only listen to the top 100 vote getters and narrow those down to their top 23 according to the criteria in the Contest rules.

LeBron, Paul Wall & Al Fatz will personally listen to 23 tracks and choose 3 tracks to air in the commercials.

It's really important to promote your track and get votes any way you can. There are going to be other ways to publicize your tracks that we're announcing soon.

Hope that helped...

We really wanted people to be able to upload their own samples but our lawyers aka Marketing Prevention Department, wouldn't let us because of the potential for copyright abuse.

We couldn't guarantee that someone didn't use Pink Floyd or Kool Moe Dee in the samples or tracks they uploaded. That would cause lawsuits and stuff that we can't really afford (well, we can afford them but it's bad PR).

So, we hired this guy, Perion, to create the samples for us from scratch. He's going to drop a blog soon about what he's listening too and why he created the samples for us.

peace

I've made 3 slammin tracks already( I'll have plenty more) and I'll be getting some codes tomorrow to put them up. Be on the lookout from "Slimdog". I like the fact that you have to use whats on the mixer. It makes the contestants creative on what limited. If you got skills, then you'll be able to make a hit. I have.

LeBron, this contest is a great opportunity for us unknown producers working under the radar. I've been in the game for awhile and I appreciate you and Sprite for reaching out to the masses! It's a lot of talent out here, but you won't know unless you look!

Lebron, even though it's not getting as many votes, if you're really looking for a commercial sound you shouldn't sleep on Theme #23...

I wanna thank LeBron, Sprite, Paul Wall, Perion, and the rest of the crew for giving the unheard a voice, and us crabs at the bottom of the barrel a chance to shine! I've listened to several tracks in the Listen Lab and I'm impressed with the talent that's bubbling up and ready to overflow! This was a great opportunity to not only display talent, but to also network with other producers across the globe, and I've made a few friends along the way! So let me say this to my fellow producers, let's stay in touch and continue to support one another. Remember, a win for one is a win for all! Holla at your man!
